That’s right 239 people have RSVP’d for Sunday’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner. We never would have thought so many people would join us for dinner but we couldn’t be more excited to sit down with our neighbors and enjoy a good meal. That said, having so many people has presented a few challenges. This morning we counted every chair and table in the building to make sure we can seat every person. Turns out we’ll be renting some tables to make it happen!
1. Now here’s where we need your help. So many of you have generously planned to make food for the dinner but with such an increase in number we may not have enough. If you could bring a extra of whatever you’re making that would be an enormous help.
2. We’ll need a bunch of people to help set up on Sunday evening at 4 pm.
3. Make sure you spend time helping our guests feel welcome and at home. Our hope is to help people feel like they belong at Dayspring even if this is their first time. With that in mind, make sure you sit and talk with people you don’t know – make a new friend!
